CONFLAGRATION AT CAMBRIDGE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A telegram from Cambridge states that the National Hotel and Catholic Presbytery were destroyed by fire this afternoon. Both were old buildings. The hotel consisted of over 20 rooms. It was owned by Handcock and Co., Auckland, whose insurances are not stated. James Watters, the licensee, had his stock insured for £'2oo. It is understood that Watters had effected a sale of his interest this week, but the buyer, Barker, had not taken possession.
