GENERAL LABORERS' DEMANDS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. The German Laborers' Union has served a demand on the City Council an increase from 8s (id per day to Is 'Jd per hour. It is thought the union has timed its demand in view of tile approaching municipal elections.
REGISTRATION CANCELLED. Wellington, Thursday. The New Zealand Federated Slaughtermen's Association and the Southland Slaughtermen's Union have applied for cancellation of registration. Only tiie Auckland and Canterbury Slaughtermen's Union have now not made application for cancellation.
