The rules were altered accordingly. Mr. A. Snowball was appointed secretary at a salary of £52 per year, with an allowance for central office accommodation. The printing and literary committees brought down reports, which showed that the work of getting out illustrated folders was under way, and the advertisingarrangements ready for launching. An offer from New Zealand Progress to devote a number to depictingand "writing up" New Plvmouth and district, together with a similar offer from the New Zealand Graphic, was received and referred to the AdvertisingCommittee with power to act. The Printing Committee was instructed to proceed with tile printing of envelopes advertising the place, and the business people be asked to take tlrem up at cost price. Mr. Oruickshanks waa elected to the committee. A proposal to arrange for the takingof a 100-mile round the Mountain cinematograph film for exhibiting throughout the Dominion was deferred for further consideration. The meeting, which was presided over by Dr. Leatham and attended by all but two of the full complement, was adjourned till that night week.
