SEVERAL LIVES LOST. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, November 4. 'One girl was incinerated in the fire " at Barkers'. Three were killed by jump- ■ ing -seventy '{eet from a parapet, where seventeen- girls and two men were trapped. Fire escapes rescued the remaining people, and the others might tiave been saved, but for the crowd inciting them to jump. Several firemen displayed great heroism. The damage caused by the fire is estitaated at ,£50,000.
