A CATTLE SALE.
HIGH PRICES.

Palmerston North, Last Night. Messrs. Dalgety and Co. held a very successful sale to-day at the Show grounds of the Government Weraroa State Farm Holstein-Fresians. The highest price of the day was paid for the yearling bull Dominion De Kol Domino, for which Mr. C. Hopping (Rongotea) gave 290 guineas. Another bull went to the same purchaser for 187 guineas, and Mr. White (Auckland) gave 185 guineas for a bull of the same .breed. Othei Holstein bulls brought 151 guineas, 138 guineas, 80 guineas, 90 guineas, and 60 guineas. Holstein cows brought 11] guineas, 108 guineas, 92 guineas and 90 guineas. A Shorthorn bull, sold on behalf of Mr. J. Donald (Wanganui) fetched 101 guineas, and another on behalf of Mr. Bailies (Carterton) 138 guineas. Other prices ranged from 33 guineas to 90 guineas.
