THE WAIHI STRIKE.
IUOTOUS WOMEN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Waihi, Wednesday. Strike matters arc still unsettled. The women are taking advantage of the leniency shown by the police, and are not abating their riotous conduct. Fourteen extra hands went on at the local mines this morning. Messrs. Webb and Semple, the Federation leaders, are to arrive at Waihi to-night.
ALL-ROUND DENUNCIATION. Waihi, Last Night. Messrs. Webb and Semple arrived here to-night, and were met at the station by a crowd of strikers and women. Both were cheered.
At the Union Hall, Mr. Semple, in addressing the crowd, congratulated the strikers on the light they were making, and denounced the Government, press and police. Mr. Webb also gave a brief address, lie stated that the Australian workers were with them in the fight. Both speakers will address a mass meeting of men and women to-night.
