THE WAIHI STRIKE.
FINANCES OF HOSPITAL BOARD. By Telegraph—Press Association. Waihi, Saturday. At the meeting of the Waihi Hospital and Charitable Aid Board grateful reference was made to the Prime Minister, the Hons. R. H. Rhodes, W. H. Herries and Mr. Poland for assistance in the matter of a special grant of £IOOO. The Hospital and Charitable Aid Board resolved that, owing to the stringent condition of its finds, it is unable to assist the wives of the Waihi prisoners, who allege that the union refuses to support them.
