ROOSEVELT'S CAMPAIGN. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. New York, October 25. Mr. Theodore Roosevelt has resumed his campaign, and preparations for a further series of meetings are pending. He says he is feeling splendid, although the doctors have warned him not to overtax his strength. POLICE PROTECTION. Received 27, 5.5 p.m. New York, October 26. A stranger attempted to enter RooseTelt's home at Oyster Bay,, but was forcibly ejected. The Colonel is receiving many threatening letters, and a special police guard has been provided. A LIBEL ACTION. Received 27. 5.5 p.m. New York, October 26. Mr. Roosevelt is suing George Newell, editor of <r small daily paper at Ishpeming, Michigan, claiming damages for alleged libel. Newell published an article accusing Roosevelt of intemperance In both language and liquor.
