LAKE COLERIDGE STRIKE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ohristohurch, Wednesday. Although precise information is unavailable, it is stated here that th* strike at Lake Coleridge has collapsed, and the strikers have returned to work.

WHARF LABORERS' UNION. Greynroutb, Wednesday. The Grey Wharf Laborers' Union, which recently seceded from tine New Zealand Federation of Labor; held a mass meeting this morning to consider registering a mutual agreement arrived at some time ago under the Arbitration Act. There was a large rally of opposing factions, the Arbitrationiste winning at the ballot by a majority of 44 votes. All work on the wharf was suspended this morning for the meeting, which is considering a draft for the proposed new rules.
