THE BACK BLOCKS.
AN ASSOCIATION FORMED. By Telegraph —Press Association. Te Kuiti, Last Night. A conference of back-blocks ' local bodies was held here to-day. The Whangamomona. Kaitete, Kawhia and Waitomo Counties, and the Taumarunui and Te Kuiti Boroughs were represented. It was decided to form a Backblocks Local Bodies Association, with Mr. A. Scholes as president and Mr. P. Mora as. secretary. Roading, native lands, hospital matters and the general policy of roading were discussed. A further conference is to be held at Ohura in January next, when remits from various bodies will be received and discussed, and recommendations made to the Government accordingly.
