A PRISONER RE-ARRESTED. By Telegraph. —Press Association. "Wellington, Last Night. Charles Fish, who is awaiting sentence on a charge of purloining a set of statutes while a Government servant, together with 'his son Frederick Fish, came before Mr. Riddel, S.M., this morning to show why their recognisances should not be estreated, as the former, while out on bail, was arrested on a steamer about to leave Auckland for Suva. The son stated that he was not aware that his father intended to abscond. His father had suffered considerable mental stress, and hardly appreciated what ho was doing. The Magistrate said that he would not estreat the bail, but the expenses incurred must lie paid by the surety.
