FURTHER BURGLARIES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, September 21. Six further robberies are reported of jewellery and clothing totalling £l4O. Two men returning home at night were assaulted and robbed. The ordinary police patrols have been strengthened by a night patrol similar to that in Melbourne. Received 22, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, September 22. Three more robberies are reported, property to the value of £OO having been stolen.
Melbourne, September 21. Burglars, utilising a cart, stole £l3uo wortli of leather from the premises of Peatts, boot manufacturers, Collingwood; £250 worth of loot was left in the vard and recovered.
