Advices from Salt Lake City state that the Labor Federation is endeavoring to cause the strike of miners to spread to New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada mine property. In such an event six thousand additional men will be affected. THE COAL STRIKE. Received 22, 5.5 p.m. London, September 21.

Lord St. Aldwyn has settled the outstanding disputes in South Wales and Monmouthshire in favor of the men. The piece-workers' contentions were upheld, and a minimum of 4s 7d granted in all cases.

Lord St. Aldwyn has decided that 4s 7d should be continued when other work is given to those unable to earn these wages at piecework.

AN ENGINEERS' STRIKE. London, September 22. Five, thousand apprentices and engineers in the shops at Manchester and Salford have struck for an extra shilling a week.
