As the result of the recent trouble over the employment of seamen in the holds of vessels an arrangement has been reached in the Industrial Court. whereby seamen can be employed under certain conditions. A MARITIME TROUBLE. Received 30. 1 a.m. Sydney, August 29. Trouble is looming between the New South Wales coastal steamship companies and wharf laborers. Judge Scholes stated that unlesi a conference to-mor-row settled the differences he would be compelled to delete the arrangements regarding seamen working holds, along with the preference clause, which meant letting the shipping industry go by the board.
