Fisher. Minister of Marine, to-day, by Mr. BrarJnev, M.P., and the question of lighting various parts of the coast was diseußsedi The Minister was assured that the consensus of opinion in maritime circles j was in favor of a light on the Three livings, and also for a fog signal being placed there, the opinion being'expressed that equipment of that nature would Slave prevented such a disaster as the Wrtirarapa wreck. Controversy over the relative merits of the light on Flat Rock, jas against Flat Point, was also referred by the deputation, who declared that majority of mariners favored the foitmer. The lightship suggested at the Three Kings was described as an absurd;idea. The Minister promised to consider the representations.
