MR. ROOSEVELT'S BOSTON CAMPAIGN. RELIGIOUS REYIYALISTIC TENDENCIES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York. August 18. Mr. Roosevelt, in opening' his campaign at Boston, declared that Mr. Taft was a dead issue in American politics. The huge meeting sang hymns, notably '"Onward, Christian Soldiers/' Mr. Roosevelt said he sought to introduce the observance of the ten commandments and the golden rule into American public life. He replied to the accusations of critics as to his association with Mr. Perkins, Mr. Morgan's associate. Mr. Perkins, he said, was absolutely convinced of the value and justice of the progressive Republican movement, and had joined it bona fide.
