HOLDS UP A MEXICAN TOWN. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 20, 12.10 a.m. Mexico City, August 19. The Mexican Joan d'Arc, with ten rebel leaders as followers, entered the town of Jaurez, disarmed the chief of police and six men. Joan's followers, securing the police horses, entered the stores and demanded provisions. After holding the town for a few .hours they rode away. It is believed the leader is the wife of Colonel Lazro Alamis/'the rebel commander operating round JPalomas. The vigilance guard has been armed, to -prevent further- invasions.
