Two Territorials at Stratford to-day were fined 20s and 10s respectively for having failed to attend the annual training camp. Tn delivering judgment, Mr. Kennck, S.M., said he believed that only nn amendment in the Act, givin* the magistrates power to order these youths to be sent to the centres, there to serve for say double the ordinary training penod with the permanent forces, would adequately meet sueh cases.
