POLITICAL NOTES.

THE UNITED LABOR PARTY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Folding, Friday. Mr Fowlds gave an address here last night on the platform of the Labor Party. He attacked the Mas&ey Government and said the appointment of Mr. Mackenzie as High Commissioner was an improper political job done, to get two more votes as the result of the Egmont election. He condemned the Government for borrowing from the Post Office Savings Bank at a lower rate of interest than paid outside, and condemned Mr. Allen for backing and filling on the matter of the commandant of junior cadets. A small section of the audience showed considerable dissent.
