Mr. Pcaroe has announced that the Australian cruiser Melbourne will be commissioned on January 1 and depart for Australia shortly afterwards. Her route has not been decided. The battleship Australia and the cruiser Sydney will visit Capetown and other African ports, by invitation of the South African Union. They will leave England a few mouths after the Melbourne.
