RESULT OF THE WEATHER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The coal shortage in Wellington is the worst for many years. The run on _ the State supplies during tihe past fortnight luis been phenomenal. For weeks the local depot has been endeavoring to overtake orders, but without success. One thousand retail orders were filled last week, and the management Iras notified that no more orders will be received foxten days. Some of last week's orders will not be filled for three weeks. Some Westport and Newcastle coal has come to hand, hut not nearly enough for household requirements.
