APPEAL COURT.
SOLICITOR STRUCK OFF ROLL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. In the case against John Gwyimeth Stevens, under the Law Practitioners Act, the Court of Appeal found the charges proved, and made absolute the rule nisi calling on Stevens to show cause why 'his name should not be removed from the roll of solicitors. The Court suspended Stevens for three years, and ordered kim to pay costs.
A GOLD MINING CASK Wellington, Monday. In the King Gold Mining Company, Limited (in liquidation), the Court of Appeal unanimously dismissed the appeal with costs as agreed, holding that the name of Mr. Richard Cock (of New Plymouth) should be removed from th« list of contributes ordered by Judge Cooper in the Supreme Court.
A BARRISTER SUSPENDED. Wellington, Monday. The Appeal Court suspended Wm. George Somcrville for three years, and ordered him to pay 35 gui Was costs, and gave him a month to close ihis office. 'Somcrville, who is a barrister, was charged with converting to Iris own use £7OO of a client's money. 1-Ie contended that he was covered by an agreement [with the client, but the Court held that the agreement, was not proved.
