STRIKE IN BRITAIN.
THE DOCK TROUBLE ENDING. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, August 1. The docks are quieter. Fifty per cent, of the strikers have been reinstated. All the workers are searched for revolvers. Several newspapers contrast Mr. McKenna's continued failure adequately to protect labor at the docks, with Mr. Birrell's action- at Belfast. INCITING TO STRIKE. CONDITIONS NORMAL. Received 2, 0.55 p.m. London, August 2. The Arbitration Court fined the secretary of the Plasterers' Association £5 on a charge of instigating a strike. Practically normal conditions prevail in London and at the Belfast dock.
