THE WAIHI MINE.
A DIVIDEND DECLARED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Saturday. A London cablegram to the local director of the Waihi Company Teads: "The directors have declared a dividend of two shillings per share, payable on September 2. No further dividends will he paid until the strike ends; even then subsequent effects are likely adversely to affect dividends." A 'circular issued to shareholders states regarding the strike that the companies insisted at the conference on the registration of the Miners' Union, and adds: "It is impossible to say how long the strike is likely to last."
