FIRES.
DAMAGE AT PETONE MILLS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. A fire occurred at the Petbne Woollen Mills yesterday, gutting the drying-room. The drying-Tacka and a quantity of wool were also destroyed. A DWELLING BURNED. Auckland, Saturday. An eight-roomed house at Mount Eden, owned 1 and occupied by H. S. Wilson, had its contents destroyed by fire early this morning. The house was insured in the Ocean Office for £SOO.
