IMPORTED EXPERTS.

A RAILWAY PROTEST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christehurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the Addington branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, the following motion was carried unanimously: That this branch is opposed to any proposal to import a socalled expert from abroad at a high salary to manage the New Zealand railways, and would urge upon the executive council the necessity for resisting this proposal to the utmost, if any attempt is made by those in authority to carry it into effect. It was further resolved to communicate with all other branches throughout the Dominion asking for their support.
