Perth, July 13. The revenue for the year was £3,399,007, an increase of £110,234; the Commonwealth contribution was £138,527, an increase of £68,950. The deficit is £121,111. THE AUSTRALIAN CHOIR. Sydney, July 13. The Australian choir of 110 voices will visit England in 1913, arriving in June. Mr. Stanley Hobson, of Toowoomba Philharmonic Society, has been appointed conductor. THE TERRITORIALS. Sydney, July 13. Numerous senior cadets have been fined £5 and costs under the Compulsory Service Act. One father claimed exemption on account of religious scruples, and quoted a clause in the constitution. The magistrate held that he was dealing with the Defence Act. The father gave notice of appeal.
