The Dock Strike Committee has issued a statement regretting the circumstances leading to the King's cancellation of his Royal Albert Dock engagement, but expressing its respect for His Majesty. The strike leaders attribute the cancellation to the King's sympathy with the sufferers in the strike. The Port of London Authority will begin work on the dock extension without ceremon}'. WORKERS RESUMING. Received 9, 11.25 p.m. London, July 9. There is a great increase of activity at the London docks. Two hundred barges and twenty-four tugs were yesterday engaged 'handling frozen meat, flour and wheat. Three hundred wool porters have resumed work.
