A HOTEL BURNED. ]ly Telegraph —Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. The Kaukapakapa Hotel has been ' totally destroyed by fire. Le.yland, the licensee, his wife and children escaped lightly clad. He vsaved £SO in cash. The hotel and its contents were insured for £7OO in the New Zealand Office. The loss is estimated at £(100 more. A MOTO-CAR DESTROYED. n Blenheim, Wednesday. A tnoior shed containing :i new car was destroyed last night. Win. Rugg, the owner, returned from a trip to the country and placed the car in the shed. Shortly afterwards an explosion occurred and lie discovered the shed in flames. The car was totally destroyed. The insurance was :C4OO in the Cuardian Fire Office.
