COMMERCE COMMISSION
FRANK CRITICISM. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 26, 9.10 p.m. London, June 26. Mr. Donald Campbell, Commonwealth representative at the Imperial Trade Commission, interviewed, said that he had endeavored to induce the Imperial Commission to take evidence and make recommendations concerning interDominion reciprocal Customs treaties. The chairman ruled adversely, and this practically excluded all forms of preference, including tariff subsidies and shipping. This will reduce the scope of the Commission's usefulness, and raise the question of the justification of expenditure upon it.
