THE DREDGE MANCHESTER
MISSING MEN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Advice has been received at Lyttelton that the Sydney Harbor Trust is taking steps to have each individual case of the men lost on the dredge Manchester investigated with a view to the payment of compensation. In reply to a cablegram from the Trust, Captain Marciel has forwarded full particulars re every member, with the exception of the, following: O. Augustin (last on the ship Tarawera), P. Prophet (last on the ship Amelia Sims), H. O'Neill (last on the ship Petone), W. Wallace (last on the ship Storm). Captain Marciel is anxious to receive information re these men. It it stated that a majority of the members of the crew of the Manchester did not belong to New Zealand. A number of them belonged to Great Britain, several having worked their passage out from Glasgow in the dredge Canterbury.
