I The match Australia v. Cambridge University was begun to-day. In the Cambridge team Lagden, Franklin, Susskind and Grierson replaced Patterson, Sullivan, Arnold, and G. Mulholland. The weather was warm but cloudy, and the wicket softisli. There were 2000 spectators. Cambridge won the toss and sent the Australians to the wickets. Jennings and Kelleway faced Holloway, and Grierson, lmt made a poor stand for the first wicket, Kelleway playing a ball on to his wickets from Grierson when only 18 was on the board. There was a better stand for the second wicket, Macartney and Jennings adding 40. The former played a stylish innings. Jennings was run out by a smart return from cover by Saville.
