THE WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIPS By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The provincial boxing championships were concluded to-night. Results:— Bantam weight.—Final: J. Kutner (Wellington) won over Langridge, who was unable to box. Feather weights: C. Leary (Wellington) beat J. Ingham (Petone); L. Stewart (Petone) beat Casey (Wellington); semi-final, L. Stewart beat W. Mack (Wellington), C. Leary beat W. "Dorry" (Dannevirke). Final: Leary beat Stewart. Light-weights,—Final: E. Stewart (Wellington) beat S. Porter (Wellington). Porter was disqualified for holding and hitting. Welter weights. —Semi-fnal: J. Murphy (Wellington) beat W. Dudson (Wellington). Final: J. Murphy beat E. Minifie (Wellington). Minifie was disqualified for hitting with the open glove. Heavy weights.— Final: W. Bartlett (Christchurch) beat J. Colletton (Masterton). In the special match McMorran (Wellington) beat McNichol (Christchurch). C. Leary got the medal for the most scientific boxer in the tournament.
