SENSATIONAL DETAILS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Paris, May 15. There were extraordinary scenes at Nogent-sur-Marne. The town was lit up with torches,, and huge crowds arrived in motors, trains and trams, shouting "Death!" Some, who were armed, were with difficulty restrained from indiscriminate shooting. The crowd attempted to lynch the bandits, supposing them to be alive. M. Lepine, chief of police, was accorded an ovation.
Garaier's body was riddled. T.he woman Vuillemin states that Gamier threatened to kill her. She added that the bandits did not take any precautions, but mixed freely with tlie neighbors. They made several visits to Paris, to purchase weapons, and were prepared for a week's defence; they had two thousand cartridges.
