WHEAT MARKET. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 11, 12.40 a.m. Sydney, May 10. Wheat is easier, and is now quoted at 4s 2d to 4s 4d. Messrs. Andrew Clement and Sons (R. W. D. Robertson, local agent) report under date London, May 9: Butter: Salted, 112s; unsalted, 112s. The market shows a fair demand. Cheese: Colored, 71s; white, 71s. The market is firmer. Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Wellington, have received cable advice from their London office, dated May 7, that frozen lamb is %d per lb higher, which means that it has now touched (id per lb in London. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following cablegram from their London house, dated May B:—'Wheat: We have (sold an Australian cargo at 40s 3d c.i.f. The market is quiet but steady, owing to unfavorable crop reports and heavy arrivals. The outlook for market prospects in America is encouraging. Oats: We quote Cartons 23s fid, sparrowbills 22s 6<L The market is firm, with a fair demand.
