THE A.M.P. SOCIETY
THE ANNUAL MEETING. By Cable--Press Association—Copyright. Received 11, 12.40 a.m. Sydney, May 10. At the A.M.P. annual meeting the chairman stated that the continued prosperity of Australia and New Zealand was strongly reflected in the report. In all probability the accumulated funds would touch the thirty million mark at the end of the current year. The operation of the recent income tax 'had afforded the society considerable relief in New South Wales. They had been compelled to recognise the increased cost of living, and had brought into operation a more liberal salary scale, considerably adding to the expenses. Pleasing features of the year were the reductions in the amount paid for surrender values and the sum disbursed in cash bonuses. Mr. Joseph (New Zealand's representative) stated that the business in the Dominion showed a continued advancement.
