MOA ROAD BOARD
ELECTION OF FIVE MEMBERS.
The election 'of five members of the Moa Itoad Board was held at Inglewood on Saturday, Mr. W. Ogier being returning officer. For the five vacancies there were seven candidates, including three of the retiring members, Messrs. H. Trimble, A. E. Laurence, and J. Williams. The other two .members, Messrs. R. T. Williams and Anderson, did not seek re-election. The result of the poll showed that the ratepayers were satisfied with the board's administration, as the old members were returned, Mr. Trimble heading the poll, followed by Mr. Laurence, Mr' Williams being fourth, close behind Mr. Mark Hopson, a new member. Mir. W. P. Bishop, who was defeated last election, fills the fifth place. The detailed voting was a« follows: H. Trimble 228, A. E. Laurence 201, M. Hopson 188, J. Williams 177, W. P. Bishop 112, Jas. B. Gopperth 90. C. Therkleson 6&, informal 1.
