THE CONQUEST OP MT. COOK. Christchurch, Sunday. News has been received that Mrs. Lindon, accompanied by Guides Graham and Thompson, made the ascent of Mt. Cook on Friday. SLY GPJOG SELLING. At the Police Court to-day, Archie Doran 'was fined £lO for sly grog selling, and John Pearson and Archibald West, who were present when Doran's residence was raided, were fined £3 each.
