HOLIDAY ATTRACTIONS
WHERE TO GO. I With the Easter holidays come the : usual list of attractions, both indoors and al fresco. Bowlers are being well provided for, matches against visiting teams from Auckland and Wanganui taking nlaee to-day and on Monday, both i» the morning and afternoon. To-day will also see the start of the New Plymouth Golf Club's Easter tournament, while in the afternoon and evening attractive programmes are advertised for the Empire Picture Theatre. The stai film will be "Love and Friendship." A holiday programme will also be shown at the Theatre on Monday. Monday's attractions comprise Patea Races, a cricket match on the Recreation Ground between the Borough and County Councils, the Stratford Gymkhana, and the Frankley Road Sports. On Tuesday night the season of Jansen, transformist and conjuror, will commence in the Theatre Royal. On the more serious and intellectual side, but none the less interesting, will be a theosophical lecture on ''"The Coming of the World Teacher," by Miss C. W. Christie. As a leeturess Miss Christie has a distinguished reputation, and she has the happy knack of handling her subject in an entertaining manner.
