TARANAKI REFEREES' ASSOCIATION. j The annual meeting of the Taranaki Referees' Association was held at Stratford on Thursday night. There were present: Messrs T. Buchanan (chairi man), Bellringer, Spurdle, Griffiths, Malone, Skoglund and Rev. Scott. The New Zealand Referees' Association notified that the annual meeting would be hold at Hastings on April 5. The Southern committee notified that Mr. F. W. Martin had been appointed secretary, and Messrs Lees (Okaiawa) and Hunter (Hawera) as delegates. The New Zealand Referees' Association enclosed some rulings given by the executive. It was resolved to bring forward a motion to the effect that members of the management committee absenting themselves from three meetings should be deemed to have forfeited their seats. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. Mr. Buchanan referred in forcible terms to the good done by the Association for Taranaki. The secretary generously donated the grant Of .£3 3s, which was voted to him, to the Association's funds. Mr. Bellringer was appointed president and Mr. Potts secretary. CLIFTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Clifton Club was held on Wednesday evening in the Clifton Hall. tMr. Buchanan occupied the chair. The balance-sheet, which showed a credit balance of £5 los lid, was adopted. The same officers as last year were elected for the ensuing season. The appointment of a selection committee was held over untii a future meeting. Subscriptions for the ensuin<* season were fixed at 2s Gd for playing members and 5s for non-playing members.
