DISAPPEARANCE OF A PALMERSTON ■ MAX By Telegrapk— Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. Mr. Jack Jeromson, aged 27, green- ( ' keeper of the Manawatu Golf Club, has been missing for eight weeks, and con- , siderable anxiety is felt by his parent* (who live witli him on the links), and by the club. After suffering from an attack of influenza he was ordered away , for a holiday, and went to Auckland for ■ a short stay, saying that he might visit Rotorua and Te Kuiti before coming back. He sent a postcard from Auckland . saying that he had arrived safely, and since then nothing has b/een: heard . of him, and no trace can be .'obtained''of him. He was dressed in a grey'suit when he left here. He was clean-shaven, strongly built, and about Bft lOin in height.' He carried a brown canvas, kit bag, which he had borrowed, and which had the name R. Rule painted on it. He came originally from Dunedin, and was highly thought of by the club, who, know of no reason for his disappearance. In fact, he was reluctant to take a holiday, as the greens were his hobby, and he wanted to have, them in order for the season. The| sand-bagging reports from Auckland have increased the anxiety felt and the police have been communicated with. ' '
