Professor David states that Dr. Mawson has already done valuable scientific work, despite the tremendous obstacles. He is working in what is probably the most stormy spot in the world, owing to the immense air trough of very low pressure. The parties established in Adelie Land and in the vicinity of Tejmination Land are both in excellent positions for useful meteorological, magnetic, j geological and biological research. He daily expected to hear from the party by wireless, although it was probable the Antarctic blizzards would play havoc with the apparatus. RUSSIAN POLAR EXPEDITION.
