The police are investigating the murder of the aboriginal Jimmy by three other natives, who were jealous of Jimmy's attention to their gins. They lured him into the bush and killed him with a tomahawk and spears, and then dragged the body about the cainp. PROHIBITING HAT PINS. Sydney, February 29. A City Council by-law has been gaizetted, prohibiting the wearing of hatpins protruding in such a way as to be a source of danger. A penalty of £lO i is provided. A CONCILIATION COMMITTEE. i ' Sydney, February 29. : Colliery employers and employees are establishing a joint conciliation committee for the purpose of settling disputes, with Mr. Charles Hibble as chairman.
