A CLERGYMAN'S STIRRING EXPERIENCE. !
By T«l»gßapli—Press Associativa. " 1 Wellington, Tuesday. A dramatic incident marked the close of the service at St. Jjunes' Church, Lower Hutt, on Sunday. Whilst the fiev. W. Cross was delivering his sermon a •! ■ember of the congregation, a man hamed Robin, was noticed to be behaving very peculiarly." He appeared very agitated, and at the conclusion of the service, when Mr. Cross-retired to the _ vestry, was promptly followed by Robin, who began shouting and yelling at the minister. His attitude was so bellicose that the rev. gentleman, anticipating trouble, said: "Stand back,' Robin, or I'll knook you d«wn." Robin then pulled out a kaiie and made to attack the clergyman, who closed with him and threw him on the floor Otl»e*s hearing the noise, entered the rqom and secured Robin till the police arrived. Jt is understood that two doctors yesterday .pronounced Robin to be mentally unbalanced.
