AUSTRALIAN NEWS.
AN OVERTURNED VESSEL. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received 13, 9.36 p.m. Sydney, February 13. An overturned vessel was sighted off Catherine Hill Bay, and is supposed to be the schooner Paris, trading between the North Coast and Sydney. She carried a crew of five. The vessel is being towed- to Newcastle, where it will be identified.

The Federal Government are inviting the following to form a board to adjudicate oh the Federal Capital design: —Mr. Smith, president of the Victorian Institute of Engineers; Mr. Coane, of Melbourne, surveyor; and Mr. Kirkpa trick, of Sydney, architect; and is offering each an honorarium of a hundred guineas.
