MILITARY TRAINING.
MOKE INSTRUCTORS TO BE APPOINTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday. The present staff of military instructors has been found to be quite inadequate to cope with the large numbers of territorials and senior cadets now in course of training. It has, therefore, states the Evening Post, been decided to appoint sixteen additional sergeaatsmajor as instructors in each of the four militalry districts, making a total of sixty-four more instructors. The 'object of the defence authorises is to have the training carried out as near the homes of youths as possible, so as to avoid their losing working time. The appointments will be open to present serving territorials, but if suffieimt ■officers cannot be obtained from t.'i's force then applications will be entertained from ex-territorials and from New Zealand South African soldiers, and from ex-Imperial army men resident in New Zealand.
