Nolan and Co. report for week ending February 7, 1912: Poultry—The demand was not as keen as usual this week and consequently prices declined, quote: Hens Is to Is Bd, pullets 2s Id to 2s ] 6d, roosters Is to Is <sd, cockerels 9d to | Is M, ducks Is 3d to Is 9d, ducklings Is 4d to Is lOd. WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—At the mart on Saturday we had a large entry of all classes of poultry. Cockerels and pullets were in good dej mand. Prices as under:—Hens (old) Is 5d to Is lid, young 2a to 3s, pullets (forward) 3s 3d to 4s, ducklings Is 4d to Is lOd, ducks (fat) 2s to 2s 3d, geese 2s 9d, cockerels Is 3d to 2s. The usual line of auction sundries realised satisfactory prices. Fruit—(We have been busy with fruit since our last report, and have found it necessary to hold sa' m. daily. Large consignments have come to hand from Nelson, Hawbe's Bay and Auckland. Prices for week as under (varying according to quality and size of boxes): Bananas (green) 12s 9, ripe 2%d' per lb, plums {Burbanks) Is to 2s 6d, cucumbers 2s 9d to 4s, tomatoes 3s. to 11b 6d, grapes 7d to 10% d lb, oranges 18s 6d, apples (dessert) 4s to 7s 6d, cookers. Is 6d to ss, apricots 10s to 10s 6d, pears 4s 9d to 6s, nectarines 7s 3d to 9s, greengages 5s 6d to 6s, cherry plums Is 3d. Furniture.—On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thuksday of last week, under instructionns from Mr. Emeny, we sold all the contents of the White Hart Hotel at the Drill Hall. Everything was sold at the hammer, there being a large attendance each day. Prices realised were very satisfactory. LOCAL MARKETS. Butchers' Meat.
