HAWERA v. PATEA.. The return match between Hawera and Patea was played on the Hawera courts on Saturday, and resulted, after a series of good games, in a win for the visitors by 9 matches to 7, two being unfinished. Weather conditions were well nigh perfect, and the play was most enjoyable, says the Star. 1 j KAPONGA v. MANAIA. | A match took place on the Manaia 'green between Kaponga and Manaia, i gentlemen's singles and doubles, and re-' I suited in wins for the home team by 62 t» 42 in the former and 35 to 22 in tha latter, and 97 to 64 in the aggregate. Fitzroy will be represented by the following team in a match against Inglewood on the latter club's courts to-mor-row.-—Misses Potier, Arthur, West and Jackson, and Messrs. S. J. Smith, W. Lints, L.' 0. Mclsaac, K. H. Jackson. L. P. Sole and W. H. Broome.
