NORTHERN UNION GAME, THE AUSTRALIAN TOUR. By Cables-Press Association—Copyright. London, February 5. The Athletic News says that the Australian footballers' tour has been an unqualified success from the playing standpoint. The players generally had upheld •their big reputation; "but no financial gain had resulted from the tour, the revenue being only three-fourths of what the Northern Union team received in Australia, though they played double the number of matches. It is estimated that the extra month resulted in a loss |of £4OO.
