Amongst the Tathra's missing is a family named St. Martin, including a husband, wife and child, a French sister of mercy, and sixteen natives, Wilcox (who was formerly secretary of the Sydney Cooks' and Stewards' Union), and Ixer (a trader living at Aoha). The Tathra waß engaged in the interisland trade.
